Nico Colucci is an emerging San Francisco-based saxophonist, composer, DJ, and music educator known for his expressive musicianship, versatility, and dynamic stage presence. His musical voice spans jazz, funk, soul, R&B, pop, house, EDM, and contemporary live entertainment, allowing him to move seamlessly between intimate jazz settings, large-scale stages, and collaborative performances.

Nico holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, a rigorous program grounded in jazz history, improvisation, composition, and performance  where he studied under internationally acclaimed saxophonist Joshua Redman. During his time at the Conservatory, he developed a strong foundation in jazz performance, improvisation, and composition while cultivating a broad and contemporary musical voice. He also performed regularly at SFJAZZ through the Conservatory’s Roots, Jazz, and American Music (RJAM) program.

His performance credits include appearances for President Bill Clinton, Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, and Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer Terrence Blanchard, as well as performing alongside singer-songwriter Noah Kahan during his ‘The Great Divide’ tour at Oracle Park and T-Mobile Park.

Nico has performed alongside an accomplished roster of artists including Thomas Dolby, Chucho Valdés, Balkan Bump, Grace Kelly, The Brubeck Brothers, Benny Benack III, John Clayton, Nelson Rangell, Anthony Wilson, Vladimir Cetkar, Adam Theis & Jazz Mafia, Otis McDonald, Lilan Kane, Huney Knuckles, and Smoked Out Soul, among many others.

His performance experience spans jazz clubs, concert halls, festival stages, luxury events, corporate gatherings, private celebrations, and collaborative DJ performances. He has appeared at venues and festivals including SFJAZZ Miner AuditoriumT-Mobile Park, Oracle Park, the Castro Theatre, The Momentary, San Francisco City Hall, Moscone Center, The Guild Theatre, Pikes Peak Center, The Broadmoor, SFJAZZ Joe Henderson Lab, High Sierra Music Festival, Vail Jazz Festival, Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival, Classical Tahoe Festival, Common’s Beach Festival.

Alongside his performing career, Nico is a dedicated music educator who brings the same passion, knowledge, and attention to detail into his teaching. He works with students at San Francisco Day School, a highly competitive K–8 independent school in San Francisco. Through his teaching, he helps students develop strong musical foundations, confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of music while encouraging them to develop their own individual voices.

Whether leading a jazz ensemble, performing with a live band, collaborating with a DJ, or developing his own musical projects, Nico brings polished musicianship, improvisational skill, versatility, and an engaging stage presence to every performance. He is currently pursuing opportunities in national and international touring, festivals, collaborations, and artist residencies.
